Minister Denaj at the World Rural Women’s Day Highlighted Women’s Contributions to Family and Local Economies

On World Rural Women’s Day, Anila Denaj, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, brought together more than seventy rural women involved in agriculture, livestock, and agribusiness. In an effort to improve overall living conditions and well-being, Minister Denaj expressed gratitude and appreciation for the role that rural women have played in sustaining agricultural and rural development.

Minister Denaj emphasized that “a day like ‘Rural Women’s Day’ brings us together not only for an event but also to reflect on what changes we need to make in our instruments to give more attention to direct financial support.” She added that with 6,423 women currently receiving subsidies, the National Agricultural Program, which includes both direct and investment support, should give a stronger voice to women entrepreneurs.

In addition, Minister Denaj encouraged the businesswomen to focus on grouping operators as a fantastic opportunity to overcome financial challenges and have their products recognized in domestic and foreign markets.
